Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Kickcut iOS application ("Kickcut", "the app"). By downloading or using Kickcut, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

The app

Kickcut is a video editing app that processes video and photo content you select from your own device to produce edited video output. Kickcut is provided free of charge, with no purchases, subscriptions, or watermarks.

Your content

You retain full ownership of the photos and videos you import into Kickcut and of the videos you export from it. Kickcut does not claim any rights to your content, does not upload it anywhere, and has no access to it beyond the processing that happens on your own device while you use the app.

You're responsible for making sure you have the rights to any music, footage, or other content that appears in the clips you edit, and for complying with the terms of any platform (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) you share your finished video to.

License to use Kickcut

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Kickcut on Apple devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to Apple's standard End User License Agreement and these Terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Kickcut, except as permitted by applicable law;
• Use Kickcut for any unlawful purpose, or to create content that infringes another person's rights;
• Interfere with or attempt to disrupt the app or circumvent any of its intended limitations.

Disclaimer of warranty

Kickcut is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose. Beat detection is based on the audio in your footage and its accuracy can vary with recording conditions — we don't guarantee a particular result.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kickcut and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app, including loss of content. Always keep your own backups of media that matters to you.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Kickcut after a change is posted means you accept the updated Terms.
